Cinnamon Path

Born in Sri Lanka

Where cinnamon first drew breath

Sri Lanka—once called Ceylon—is the only land where true cinnamon, *Cinnamomum verum*, has flourished for millennia. From ancient temples to royal courts, its fragrance shaped history. Here, cinnamon is more than spice: it is ritual, medicine, and myth. Cinnamon Path begins where it always has—in the island's sacred groves, among artisans who still honor the old ways.

It began not with a product, but a promise.

Ancient Egypt

Cinnamon was used in embalming rituals and considered sacred. The Pharaohs demanded it for their tombs.

Roman Empire

Emperor Nero burned a year's supply at his wife's funeral - a display of wealth and power.

Middle Ages

Worth more than gold, cinnamon was traded along secret routes guarded by Venetian merchants.

Colonial Era

Empires clashed over Ceylon (Sri Lanka), the only source of true cinnamon. Wars were fought for control of these sacred groves.

Now, the guardianship is ours.

Cinnamon Path was born not to sell spice, but to revive a forgotten sacred trade.

  • Support the artisans still crafting cinnamon by hand
  • Honor the ancestral wisdom behind its production
  • Restore the spiritual and medicinal reverence of this spice
  • Educate the world on what true cinnamon is and why it matters

In a market flooded with fake cassia cinnamon, we stand as guardians of authenticity. This is not commerce - it's a sacred trust.
